Bieler Père & Fils Rosé
Every serious winemaker who wants to make a classic dry Rosé looks to the grape-growing regions of Provence, France as the standard to mimic.
At Bieler Père & Fils, the Bieler family knows how to set that standard. Father Philippe owned Chateau Rotas in Coteaux Varois for 13 years, teaching son Charles how to perfect Rosé. When the winery was sold in 2005, the family founded Bieler Père & Fils, working with local grape growers in the Provence appellation of Aix-en-Provence.
The family’s goal is always to find the delicate balance between floral, herbal, wild red fruit (not overly ripe) and acid. In 2016 the task was made easy by Mother Nature, with the fruit finding a beautiful balance between red fruit and the acid structure without either overpowering each other, or the savory, citrus and mineral core.
